solarpanel connection

Can you help me how to connect to a rooftop solar panel system?. 

I need to connect the smart-meter directly to SolarPanel before it goes to controller and inverter, so that I can record Voltage and Current at the panel. My panel generates nominal voltage 16V, would this meter work for this case?

Our Energy Monitors work only with AC.
You can do monitoring of your solar system with it, but only for AC.
