DS18b20 maximum cable length

Hi,

is there a maximum cable length for connecting DS18b20 sensors. 

So far I had 3 sensors with maximum 5m cable length and they work normally. 

Now I wanted to connect a forth sensor, which has 10m cable length, but when clicking refresh in the menu, it doesn't recognize any sensor anymore. When disconnecting the new sensor with the 10m cable again, it finds the 3 previous sensors again normally.

Could the 10m cable be a reason for this problem or might the sensor with the 10m cable just be broken?

Hi Martin,

First of all check forth sensor by connecting it on the D105 without other sensors.

Sensors don't works properly when voltage on digital line drops.

Our recommendation to extend line would be that:

1. Check wires connections

2. Use twisted pair ethernet cable

3. Sensor connection topology must be linear, not star.
